Members of the Journal are
anonymously selected from rising second-year and transfer students who
participate in the Law School's Joint Journal Competition. In general,
the Journal's selection criteria start with an evaluation of the
student's competition paper and the spading exercises. Once the
competition packets are assessed, the Journal will develop a formula
based on the needs of the Journal. In developing that formula, the
Journal will consider the performance in the competition as an initial
means of ranking prospective members. Once the competition rankings are
established, the Journal will incorporate students grades as a means of
delineating the top performers.
Additional information on journal membership is available during the
Spring semester of the academic year, both through the SCJILB Editorial
Board and through the Joint Journal Writing Competition Information
Session.
